Young people want much more
A young girl and a flag at a rally. She wasn't born in the 50s, so she doesnt know about capitalism in Cuba. But she doesnt know about the best of socialism, neither. She came to life during the so called "special period" a terrific era opened in Cuba in 1990 after the fall of Berlin Wall and the european socialism. Plenty of shortcomings and lackness of everything except solidarity and confidence, that era marked the life of millions of people in the Island.
Now, when the 50th anniversary of Fidel's entrance to Havana (Jan.8, 1959), many young people like the one in the picture, are expecting from the Revolution more than health care and education, two of the main advantages that theirs fathers realized in than epics and glorious moments.
Fidel and his Rebel Army were all young people as well, their dreams become true, and with them José Martí, Félix Varela and many other heroes'. Now is the turn for the new young generation of Cubans. They better get the flag and the country for the best paths.
